Hot Summer Style (Literally)

One of the things I love and hate about living in Texas is our climate of extremes.  It goes from perfect to sweltering in a matter of days, and this week marks the beginning of hot weather that will probably last through September.  Oddly enough, we also see a big increase in outdoor parties and concerts right about now, so we can't escape the soaring temperatures without missing out on the fun.

As all of us down here bust out our shorts and sweat-friendly outfits, I decided to make a little inspiration board to get me in the mood for warmer weather.

Hot (and Sweaty) Summer Style

What's your favorite combination to wear when it's hot?  For me, it's either a 5" chino short (no shorter and no longer!) or a cropped pant with a tank top and sandals.  Time to stock up on sleeveless tops!

  1. Nice inspiration, keep it coming! I love your style (and am quite envious of your gorgeous curls.) Starting my second summer in Texas has been a bit of a jolt...spring lasted about two weeks, right? I couldn't wear pants last summer, just lots and lots of skirts with linen tops and dresses. Of course, I also learned to always carry a cardi, the a/c in most places is arctic.
