Like Cardigan Junkie?

If you haven't heard, I'm on a major mission to increase readership on this blog.  I've focused so much on creating quality posts this past year that I haven't made time for promoting the site until now (I should know better, I work in Marketing).  That said, I've reached out to some bloggers who are newer at this and have three times the readership, and they recommend that I simply ask you all to help get the word out.

So, this is me asking that if you're a CJ reader, please look to your right and follow the blog via Google Friend Connect or like Cardigan Junkie on Facebook.  If you're so inclined, I'd also appreciate it if you share the posts you enjoy.

And as always, if you have any requests or suggestions, send me a note!  I love hearing from you and writing what you want to read!

Cheers,
Haley

  1. Marketing is the behind-the-scenes part of blogging that you don't think about when you start off just wanting to be creative. Writing is a reward, but knowing that you're sharing (ie, people are actually reading) makes the process way more fun! I've found that one of the best techniques of getting a blog "out there" is just to be a fan, follower, and commenter on others. Also, when I add someone to my blogroll, I e-mail them and ask if they'll check out mine and consider doing the same. Bloggers should support one another!

Overall, time is probably the biggest factor. A blog grows at a pace. I'm always heartened to go back to early Young house Love posts that have only a handful of comments. (Yesterday they had 254.)

    Keep up the good work!

(PS: I may do a similiar post soon. I want to increase the FOOL FB fanpage as well!)
